I wonder why Super even bothers with her(Chi-Chi)

It's clear hardly anyone in the writing staff likes her or respects anyone who does... they just use her for filler and the worst kind of filler.

She's only ever relevant as a hindrance and it was clear from the Extreme Butoden game this generation would do absolutely nothing to change that (in fact, it depends on it). Her struggle is nothing but a joke to the story... it goes out of it's way to show her as comically overreacting to everything, discredit her opinions, and demean her actions. Basically you're not supposed to feel sorry for her or even take her seriously at all.

Do you think she deserve the hate and should her brains scattered on the pavement but either way, do you think it's better to get rid of her? It would probably do everyone a favor... fan or not. Even Toriyama pretty much said her character is a mistake so it's not like they're obligated.

Given she's married to a psychopath, I can't blame her too much.

First off, why did you say "her" instead of just using her name in the title? You did extra typing for nothing...

Chi-Chi has left no impression on me throughout super. I actually don't even remember seeing her. I'm sure she was around when Beeres first came and was probably in a few scenes with Goten but I don't recall at the moment.

This is another tactic to make you like Goku: if his wifes a b***, you'll feel sympathy for him, even though he's a massive a***** who totally deserves anything she dishes out on him. Similarly how him being an amoral bastard is fine as long as you write his peers the same way, a perfect example was in the last episode of Super.

Chi Chi's b*** status was cemented the moment she ignored the pain Goku was in after the Saiyan battle, blamed everything that happened to Gohan on him (Goku had absolutely no control of Gohan's participation in the Saiyan battle, nor his training with Piccolo) and said she didn't care about the Earth.

Welcome to the world of M.O.D.O.K. and Killer Croc.

In this world your favourite characters won't find any kind of respect and will eventually be forgotten and left to bite the dust. Either that or they'll be mocked forever.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Ig there trying to keep her consistently the same. She's never really bothered me because that's how she's always been, I'm used to it. But I'm not sure what the complaints are for in Super, she hardly does anything in it.

What? You are not even part of the writing staff let alone have any relation with them and you freely make such a baseless deductions?

And that's what her role was and always will be unless otherwise they change it.

Again that's for them to decide and not you.

Chi-Chi is such a terribly written character. It would have been awesome if she was a relevant martial artist in the series; she had the look and decent skills at the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament. But after that, they turned her into the stereotypical bitchy housewife and overprotective mom. Lame af.

She wasn't too bad in the Boo arc, though. Much less bitchy.

She's a huge b*** in Super.

-She refuses to let Goku train with Whis even though she had no problem with him training with King Kai? smh

-She's bent on making Goten a scholar. Smh, she had her way with Gohan, so she shouldn't be pushing it so much on Goten.

-She wouldn't even let Pan become a martial artist? Like wtf, that's not even her kid. Gohan and Videl are the parents; they're the ones who should be in charge of raising Pan.

That's the way Chi Chi has always acted. It is stupid that she's bothering with Goten I always figured she didn't care since nothing was pushed in DBZ.

To be fair ChiChi wasn't that much better either when she was a kid.

What's even more confusing is Gohan said she mellowed out after Goku died, which is why she allowed Goten to fight whenever he wanted in Z. Guess Goku coming back was basically a reset button for Chi Chi to go back to her old ways.

Yeah and it could possibly be just Super writers not understanding the whole big picture and just based it off of the way she treated Gohan.
